It Started with One Voice Note

Maison AMEEABLE began in 2019, not as a grand business plan, but as a quiet return to making things by hand.

After completing an MSc in Biochemistry, Olaosebikan Feyisitan learned how to make bags. It started simply. She borrowed her sister’s sewing machine, practiced daily, and created her first samples. Fashion handbags. Tote bags. Messenger bags. Backpacks in different designs. Each piece was a lesson in patience, precision, and the satisfaction of creating something tangible.

In September 2019, she put the brand online and waited for customers. A few orders came in. Enough to keep going, but not enough to call it success. For over a year, the brand existed in that in-between space, fuelled by curiosity, consistency, and the belief that something more was possible.

By January 2021, it became clear that the opportunity wasn’t only in fashion bags. Many creative businesses needed something else entirely: packaging. So a new arm of the business was born. An Instagram page called @satinbagsandtotes, focused solely on satin packaging bags and tote bags. Satin bonnets were added later. The work began to grow. Brands placed orders. Production expanded. To meet demand, Olaosebikan partnered with local artisans, routing work to skilled hands beyond her own.

Then life shifted:

In 2023, pregnancy and motherhood required a pause. Promotion slowed. Visibility dropped. Orders came in less frequently, mostly from existing customers. Those orders were still fulfilled, but now entirely through local artisans who had become trusted partners in production.

By 2024 into 2025, the effects of that pause became clear. Orders reduced further. And then the messages started coming in. Artisans reached out, not in anger, but with concern. They wanted more work. They needed it.

One message stood out:

A woman sent a voice note explaining how much the orders meant to her children. How the work helped with school fees. How it gave her a sense of stability and dignity. That voice note changed everything.

It became clear that this was no longer just a personal business. It was a system that other families depended on. A source of income. A pathway to progress. A shared responsibility.

In August 2025, Maison AMEEABLE was registered as a limited company. But more importantly, its mission was redefined. The goal shifted from simply generating revenue to building impact. To creating steady, meaningful work for local artisans whose hands could turn fabric and yarn into something beautiful, if only there was consistent demand.

Today, Maison AMEEABLE creates thoughtfully handcrafted packaging, fashion and functional bags, accessories, and branded merchandise for businesses, individuals, and events. We manage design, production, and quality, while skilled local artisans bring each piece to life.

Every item we make now carries two stories. The story you create with it.

And the story it has already created for the person who made it.

That is Maison AMEEABLE. Every piece has a purpose.
